The Saint John Riptide today announce a partnership with the Telegraph Journal to present a free Riptide pre-season exhibition game.
The “Telegraph Journal Tip-Off” will be held Sunday, December 18 at 2pm. The Riptide will host the Island Storm.
“We want to fill Harbour Station to demonstrate to the community our commitment and display the quality of basketball fans can expect at each and every game,” states Scott VanWart, Riptide president. “Thank you to the Telegraph Journal for helping us make this free exhibition game a reality. Although our full in game entertainment experience will be unveiled at our home opener on December 27th, this exhibition game provides an opportunity for our operations team and players to do a dress rehearsal .”
“This will be the last game before final cuts by both teams,” adds VanWart. “This is the most competitive training camp that has ever been held in Saint John and those last few spots on the roster will come down to this game.”
“We are very happy to be able to work with the team in presenting the Tip-Off game’” says Shawn Downey, the Telegraph Journal’s Director of Subscription Sales & Marketing. “It provides us with an opportunity to share information about our group fundraising program and support the team as they enter their inaugural season.”
Visit the Harbour Station Box Office for tickets. The game is free, but a ticket is still required to attend the game. Season ticket holders have until end of day Friday Dec 16th to claim their ticket for the game.
